A new high end private residence situated on the the banks of the Wairarapa Stream. This beautiful 500m2 home comes complete with a large swimming pool and private waterfront access to the Wairarapa Stream. The design incorporates some of the most advanced seismic strengthening design currently available and is designed well in excess of the current code requirements. The foundations also rest on a new gravel raft system which mitigates against liquefaction.

Cawthron Institute – Halifax Redevelopment Stage 1

The Cawthron Institute is New Zealand’s largest independent research institute specialising in environmental research and research for the food and aquaculture industries. It also has substantial testing laboratories and provides seafood safety testing for key sectors of the aquaculture industry.

The new $5 million facility on its Halifax Street site will provide nearly 400 square metres of high specification laboratory space, to replace some of its present facilities built in the 1970s. In addition to laboratories the building will also include office space, meeting rooms and staff facilities.

This building is stage one of a four stage project to replace the facilities and laboratories in the Rigg building on the Halifax Street campus.  Two key requirements of the building’s design are sustainability and a design in keeping with the character of the neighbourhood.

The project includes the demolitions of existing structures.

The facility comprises two buildings with a total floor area of approximately 2500m2, set in a complex of seawater ponds, pipes and tanks etc totaling an area of 24,000m2. Split into several sub projects to facilitate the extensive site infrastructure and ground remediation Noble has provided full Project and Cost Management from concept design, consultant contracts including preliminary estimates, and construction cost management, tender packages, contract negotiations, contract agreements and full construction management.

The Cawthron Finfish Research Centre is a state of the art facility including a 1650m2 insulated, bio-secure building with both freshwater and seawater holding tanks, in ground water treatment sumps, a wet lab and office area. Ground with poor bearing capacity was improved with deep soil mix columns to provide a solid platform for construction. Noble provided full Project and Cost Management from concept design to completion.

Nelson College New Roll Growth Classroom Block

Construction of a contemporary designed new two storey 529m2 building. The structure of this building utilizes new timber technology construction system and is situated on a difficult sloping site.

Wineworks Bottling and Storage Warehouse Auckland

Construction of a 16,201m2 warehouse, including workshop, breezeway, bottling plant, and office building.  Demolition and site preparation works comprised of demolition and removal of old concrete foundations and slabs, site excavation and remediation by removal of asbestos contaminated ground.  The structure comprises two levels of office building at north end, with 19m max height large volume warehousing and breezeway from north to south, also containing workshop (storage level over), and bottling area.

Portage Resort Hotel

Various projects including alterations, additions & refurbishment of this luxury resort.

Major refurbishment of the main building of the resort under the guidance of New Zealand award winning architect Pete Bossley. The initial project was very demanding.  It had a tight budget and a very tight timeline of 7 weeks from the day the hotel closed to re-open scheduled for the Friday of Labour Weekend. In this time the building had to be stripped, rebuilt, painted, equipped and refurnished.  It was completed on time and on budget.  Subsequently there was a range of projects from staff quarters redevelopment, upgrades of café’s and stores and redevelopment of stairways and bathrooms. 

Aria Park

This addition to the Aria Park retirement complex involved the construction of a new luxurious five level apartment building including the formation of a basement. This complex project also required the construction of a bridge link and extensive landscaping works which enabled its integration with the existing residential community.

Aria Gardens Hibiscus Wing

Aria Gardens Home and Hospital provides rest home, hospital and dementia levels of care. This project provided the facility with a new 16 bed dementia care hospital wing. Construction was carried out over three stages to enable the fully occupied facility to maintain the use of all the available beds. In addition the work had to be carried out with minimal disruption to both staff and patients, this was achieved by forming construction zones hoarded off from the occupied areas, temporary security measures, ensuring all staff and sub-contractors bought into the ethos with detailed inductions and daily morning meetings with the facilities manager.

Aria Bay The Residence Apartments

Set in the heart of the Brown’s Bay community, close to native bush and a short walk to local beaches. This new complex offers an exclusive, sophisticated and relaxed way of life.

Beechworth Home & Hospital
